Mess Rules
1. Food is supplied by a separate entity. Any complaints and suggestions will be communicated to the supplier through warden. If in case, the complaints are not resolved to your fullest satisfaction you can always contact the hostel management.
2. Mess menu displayed is for indicative purpose only. It will be followed with 90% accuracy depending on market availability, cook availability etc.
3. All items are unlimited except for Poriyal, Papad, snacks and non-veg which are limited to one/ one cup per person.
4. Tea/Coffee/Milk quantity is limited to 100ml per person.
5. We commit to serve food on time but, delays in food industry are inevitable. Please bear with us if we are late.
6. Our top most priority is your health. Our kitchen and store room are always maintained clean. And we prepare all meals with maximum possible hygienic level. If you want to know the hygienic level you are always welcome to visit.
7. We thrive to give you the food with maximum taste and with NO health risks. We do not use Ajinomoto, Vanaspathy, Palm oil, Food colors, Soda sand or any low graded food items. You are welcome to check our inventory.
8. NO MESS REDUCTION WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY NUMBER OF ABSENT DAYS.
9. Hostel will be closed during festivals and auspicious days which will be informed at least ten days in advance. Mess will also be closed at that time. Mess reduction will be given for those days for which the amount will be decided by the management then and there. Room rent reduction will not be given for that time. Inmates are requested to co-operate.
10. In case if you will be late for a particular meal, inform the warden about your delay. If you come after the mess timings, food might not be available to you.
Hostel Norms
1. The hostel management is responsible for the safety and security of the inmates only inside the hostel premises. The management is not responsible for any mishaps outside the hostel premises.
2. The inmates are requested to keep their belongings safe and under lock and key at all times. This includes mobile phones, Jewellery, laptops, mobile chargers and laptop chargers etc. The management is not responsible for any loss.
3. For the safety of the inmates the common areas (only) are monitored 24/7 by CCTV cameras.
4. Parent’s and / or Guardian’s presence is must during admission and vacating procedures.
5. Entry inside the hostel premises is restricted after 10 P.M. Please obtain prior permission when entry is expected after 10 P.M.
6. Each entry and exit should be registered in the corresponding registers. This includes leaving the hostel to college, work, vacation, leave, sight seeing, shopping etc.
7. Visitors are not permitted after 9 P.M.
8. Vacation should be informed a month in advance.
9. Absence for a day or two should be notified a day in advance through a letter (preferably).
10. Mess timings should be strictly followed.
11. Please respect the privacy of your room mates. Maintain discipline and decorum when inside your room and in common areas.
12. The services like Wi-Fi and Television are solely for entertainment purposes only. The inmates are advised to turn off the television when requested by their roommates.
13. Please help the hostel staff to maintain the premises neat and clean. Please don’t gift any items to the hostel staff.
14. One key will be provided to each room. The person leaving last is requested to lock the room and return the key at the reception. The inmates are not allowed to take the key outside the hostel premises.
15. Don’t paste any posters or drawings on the walls. Don’t scribble on the walls.
16. Common areas, rooms and bathrooms will be cleaned periodically. Inmates are requested to cooperate with the house keeping staff.
17. All rights including food quantity, Right to reservation, Mess timings, Menu remain with the management only. The hostel management has the right to change any of the above without prior notice.
18. Smoking and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited. Serious action will be taken when found.
19. Feel free to contact the management in case of any queries, complaints or suggestions.
20. Please understand the rules are framed for the inmate’s safety and security purposes only.
21. We are open to any complaints or suggestions.
22. We thrive to satisfy your needs as soon as possible. But things that require skilled work from outside might take some time.
23. Top priority is given to food and drinking water. Everything else comes next. Less priority includes hot water, cot/wardrobe malfunction, plumbing/electrical fittings malfunction, electricity, TV, Cable, Wi-Fi, washing machine, cab etc.
24. Ladies are strictly not allowed inside the hostel.
Save water and electricity. Avoid food wastage.
Rent Norms
1. One month rent is to be paid as a refundable deposit.
2. Maintenance charge of Rs. 2000/- to be paid at the time of admission (non-refundable).
3. Room rent should be paid on or before 5th of every month. Failing will attract a fine of Rs.50/- for each day of delay.
4. The inmates are responsible for the things inside the room (TV, TV remote, wardrobe, cot etc.). In case of any damage, the cost incurred will be shared to the roommates.
5. The luxury services like Wi-Fi, Television, and washing machine are given free of charge. So if any of the services are not available due to unavoidable circumstances the inmates cannot claim any fee reduction.
